But now the changes are seemingly more rapid and more intense.\u00a0The overall\u00a0processes have become more knowledge-based\u00a0and, at the same time, the\u00a0costs have increased several folds.\u00a0Recent advances provide promising scientific foundations, but the\u00a0time path and outcomes remain subject to many risks and uncertainties.\u00a0The paradigm of conventional mass production has possibly reached a limit and the fundamental rules of\u00a0engagement are changing\u00a0drastically.<\/h5>\n<p>One of the biggest challenges is to translate the impact of\u00a0changes on\u00a0operating models in a holistic\u00a0way, to adapt swiftly and decisively to disruption while\u00a0maintaining an operational good mood.\u00a0Our industry has an outstanding record of innovative performance and our\u00a0manufacturing methodology has significantly evolved, and yet there is room for profound improvement.<\/p>\n<p>We must learn to create new models. Like flexible infrastructures emphasizing virtual partnerships, valuing human knowledge\u00a0and skills, capable of delivering quality while addressing uncertainty and complexity\u00a0through rapid change.\u00a0The results of efficient and scientifically sound manufacturing\u00a0methodologies, such as the lean-but-not-mean approach, gave rise to significant innovations.\u00a0While innovation in the first wave benefit a\u00a0limited population, it is a\u00a0matter of time before it spreads to the world&#8217;s demographics.<\/p>\n<p>We think that pharmaceutical laboratories that manage to\u00a0embrace the most appropriate human-factor archetype and master\u00a0disruption, while keeping the overall focus, have the greatest chance to deliver tangible added-value to humanity, which\u00a0in turn drive its success.\u00a0We also think it&#8217;s important to develop a balanced transition roadmap that addresses\u00a0the multiple and significant risks and possibilities facing the business while\u00a0aiming at quality improvement, innovation, waste\u00a0reduction, flexibility to meet new challenges and creating healthy and enjoyable workspaces.<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"color: #999999;\">KABS \/ Where ideas can connect.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1539865706539{padding-bottom: 54px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text] Since inception the world&#8217;s scientific ecosystem has constantly evolved.
